Mrs. Spartz introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Energy and Commerce, and in addition to the Committee on Ways and Means, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned
To amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to repeal the Obamacare ban on provider-owned hospitals, and for other purposes.
Section 1. Short title
This Act may be cited as the Restoring Rights of Physicians to Own Hospitals Act
.
Sec. 2. Repealing requirements for hospitals to qualify for rural provider and hospital exception to ownership or investment prohibition
Section 1877 of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1395nn) is amended—
(1)
in subsection (d)(2)—
(A)
in subparagraph (A), at the end, by inserting and

(B)
in subparagraph (B), at the end, by striking ; and
and inserting a period; and
(C)
by striking subparagraph (C);
(2)
in subsection (d)(3)—
(A)
