A BILL

To amend the John D. Dingell, Jr. Conservation, Management, and Recreation Act to reauthorize the National Volcano Early Warning and Monitoring System.

Section 1. National Volcano Early Warning and Monitoring System reauthorization

Section 5001(c) of the John D. Dingell, Jr. Conservation, Management, and Recreation Act (43 U.S.C. 31k(c)) is amended—

(1)

in paragraph (1)—

(A)

by striking United States Geological Survey and inserting Secretary; and

(B)

by striking 2019 through 2023 and inserting 2026 through 2030; and

(2)

in paragraph (2)—

(A)

by striking National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and inserting Secretary of Commerce; and

(B)

by striking 2023 through 2024 and inserting 2026 through 2030.
