Mr. Bentz (for himself and Mr. Newhouse) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Natural Resources
To require the Secretary of the Interior to reissue a final rule relating to gray wolves.
Section 1. Short title
This Act may be cited as the Pacific Northwest Gray Wolves Relief Act of 2025
.
Sec. 2. Reissuance of final rule relating to gray wolves
(a) In general
Not later than 60 days after the date of the enactment of this section, the Secretary of the Interior shall reissue the final rule titled Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Removing the Gray Wolf (Canis lupus) From the List of Endangered and Threatened Wildlife
(85 Fed. Reg. 69778; November 3, 2020).
(b) Application
The final rule reissued under subsection (a) shall apply only with respect to gray wolf populations in the States of Oregon and Washington.
