Mr. Riley of New York (for himself and Mr. Kennedy of Utah) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Science, Space, and Technology
To amend the National Science Foundation Authorization Act of 2002 and the Research and Development, Competition, and Innovation Act to repeal cost-sharing with respect to the Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program, and for other purposes.
Section 1. Short title
This Act may be cited as the Boosting the Rural STEM Pipeline Act
.
Sec. 2. Repeal of cost-sharing with respect to the Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program
(a) In general
Section 10A of the National Science Foundation Authorization Act of 2002 (42 U.S.C. 1862n–1a) is amended—
(1)
by striking subsection (i); and
(2)
by redesignating subsections (j) and (k) as subsections (i) and (j), respectively.
(b) Conforming amendments
Section 10320 of the Research and Development, Competition, and Innovation Act (42 U.S.C. 18998) is amended—
(1)
in subsection (a)—
(A)
by striking requirements
and inserting requirement

(B)

(C)
