Mr. Rutherford (for himself, Mr. Case, Mr. Guest, and Mr. Moskowitz) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on the Judiciary
To change the name of the United States Secret Service Uniformed Division to the United States Secret Service Police.
Section 1. Short title
This Act may be cited as the Officer Leslie Coffelt U.S. Secret Service Police Act of 2026
.
Sec. 2. United States Secret Service Police
(a) Title 2
Section 201 of the District of Columbia Police and Firemen's Salary Act Amendments of 1970 (2 U.S.C. 1942) is amended by striking Uniformed Division
and inserting Police
each place it appears.
(b) Title 5
Title 5, United States Code, is amended—
