Mr. Peters (for himself and Mrs. Fischer) introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation
A BILL
To amend title 49, United States Code, to allow the introduction of certain noncompliant motor vehicle equipment in interstate commerce for testing purposes, and for other purposes.
Section 1. Prohibitions on manufacturing, selling, and importing noncomplying motor vehicles and equipment
Section 30112(b)(10) of title 49, United States Code, is amended—
(1)
in the matter preceding subparagraph (A)—
(A)
by inserting or an item of motor vehicle equipment
after introduction of a motor vehicle
; and
(B)
by inserting or item of motor vehicle equipment
after the motor vehicle
; and
(2)
in subparagraph (A), by inserting or items of motor vehicle equipment
after motor vehicles
