Council Bill
An ordinance relating to Seattle Parks and Recreation; establishing the 2027-2028 fee schedule for the use of the park properties and other park and recreation facilities and services; and superseding previous park and recreation fee schedules.
Recitals:
On November 24, 2025, the Seattle City Council approved Ordinance 127347, which established the 2026 fee schedule for the use of park properties and other park and recreation facilities and services and superseded previous park and recreation fee schedules, pursuant to Section 18.28.010 of the Seattle Municipal Code.
The fee schedule requires an update for the 2027-2028 biennium. Therefore,
Be it ordained by The City of Seattle as follows:
Section 1. Effective January 1, 2027, the Superintendent of Parks and Recreation is authorized to charge the fees substantially in the form set forth in the 2027 “Seattle Parks and Recreation Fee Schedule”, attached as Attachment 1 to this ordinance, and all prior Seattle Parks and Recreation fee schedules are superseded. Pursuant to Seattle Municipal Code subsection 18.28.010.B, the authority to charge fees as authorized by this ordinance shall remain in effect unless they are repealed, superseded, or amended by ordinance.
Section 2. The provisions of this ordinance and of Attachment 1 to this ordinance are declared to be separate and severable. The invalidity of any clause, sentence, paragraph, subdivision, section, or portion of this ordinance or Attachment 1, or the invalidity of their application to any person or circumstance, does not affect the validity of their remainders or the validity of their application to other persons or circumstances.
