An ordinance relating to the City’s civil service systems; codifying the Civil Service Department as the name of the City department where the Civil Service Commission and the Public Safety Civil Service Commission are located; requiring employees to complete their initial probationary period before running as candidates for employee-elected civil service commissioner positions; aligning Civil Service Commission and Public Safety Civil Service Commission provisions; correcting typographical errors and making language gender-neutral; adding a new Chapter 3.48 to the Seattle Municipal Code; and amending Sections 4.04.250, 4.08.040, 4.08.050, and 4.13.010 of the Seattle Municipal Code.
